Custom countersunk bolt wear plates with drilled holes and machined bolt seats

Countersunk Bolt Wear Plates for Flush Liner Fixing

Countersunk bolt wear plates are cut-to-size and drilled wear-resistant steel liner panels designed for bolt-on installation where protruding bolt heads should be avoided. They are commonly used in transfer chutes, hopper liners, conveyor loading zones, impact areas and replacement wear liner packages.

EB China can supply drawing-based wear plates with countersunk holes, through holes, slotted holes, edge preparation and inspection according to buyer drawings, samples or site measurement data.

Typical Applications

Application area Use case Why countersunk fixing helps
Mining transfer chutes Replaceable wall and skirt liner plates Flush bolt heads reduce direct abrasion and material hang-up
Hopper liners Modular liner plates for impact and sliding wear zones Bolted panels can be replaced during planned shutdowns
Conveyor loading zones Wear plates near loading, sealing and sidewall areas Smooth internal surface protects fasteners and improves flow
Crusher feed areas Replaceable liners exposed to rock impact and sliding abrasion Countersunk bolts reduce bolt-head damage in high-wear zones
Cement plant transfer points Clinker, limestone, coal and raw material chute liners Drawing-based panels improve repeat replacement accuracy

Material Grade and Hardness Options

Material option Typical hardness reference Recommended condition
NM400 wear plate About 360-430 HBW General abrasion with moderate impact and good toughness requirement
NM450 wear plate About 420-480 HBW Balanced abrasion resistance for chutes, hoppers and conveyor transfer points
NM500 wear plate About 470-540 HBW Severe sliding abrasion where impact is controlled
High chrome cast liner Application-dependent cast hardness Fine abrasive material and severe wear where cast geometry is preferred
Drawing-specified grade According to buyer specification Replacement liners requiring exact material traceability

Processing Capability

Processing item Available work RFQ information needed
Cut-to-size Rectangular, trapezoid or drawing-based plate shapes Overall dimensions, thickness and quantity
Drilled holes Through holes, bolt holes and patterned fixing holes Hole diameter, center distance and coordinate drawing
Countersunk holes Flush bolt seat processing for countersunk fasteners Countersink diameter, angle, depth and bolt type
Edge preparation Beveled edge, chamfer, deburring and installation-ready edges Required edge detail and installation clearance
Inspection Drawing check, dimension inspection and hole pattern confirmation Drawing revision, tolerance requirement and reference sample if available

Countersunk Hole Design Checklist

Flush fixing is useful only when the countersink geometry matches the bolt, plate thickness and working condition. Before production, confirm the following items:

  • plate thickness and minimum remaining thickness below the countersink;
  • bolt head diameter, countersink angle and seating depth;
  • edge distance from hole center to plate edge;
  • access direction for bolt installation and removal;
  • whether bolt heads face the main material flow path;
  • replacement sequence for adjacent liner panels.

Thickness and Size Range

Parameter Common range Notes
Plate thickness Typical 6-50 mm, drawing-based Selection depends on material grade, impact and wear life target
Panel size Custom cut according to chute or hopper drawing Large panels should be checked against access door and lifting method
Hole pattern Single-row, multi-row or staggered hole layout Hole position should avoid the strongest direct impact stream where possible
Fixing method Countersunk bolt, standard bolt or mixed layout Mixed fixing may be used for impact and sliding zones in the same chute

Standard RFQ Specification for Countersunk Bolt Wear Plates

The following ranges are practical quotation references for drawing-based countersunk wear plates. Final material grade, thickness, hole pattern and price should be confirmed from your drawing, bolt standard, handled material and shutdown replacement plan.

Recommended specification range

Item Quotation reference Buyer should confirm
Material grade NM400, NM450, NM500 or drawing-specified wear-resistant steel; cast liner options can be reviewed for special geometry. Existing liner grade, target service life, impact level and whether welding or forming is required.
Hardness range Reference: NM400 about 360-430 HBW, NM450 about 420-480 HBW, NM500 about 470-540 HBW. Required certificate/hardness report and whether the application needs more toughness or higher abrasion resistance.
Thickness range Common chute and hopper liner range: 8-40 mm; heavy impact or long-life panels can be reviewed up to 50 mm or drawing-specific thickness. Current liner thickness, wear allowance, bolt head seat depth and remaining thickness under countersink.
Countersunk hole detail Metric countersunk fasteners commonly use 90 degree seats; imperial flat-head screws often use 82 degree seats. EB China will follow the drawing or bolt standard. Bolt size, head diameter, countersink angle, countersink depth, through-hole diameter and hole coordinate tolerance.
Panel layout Single panel, modular liner set, staggered hole pattern, edge chamfer and drawing-number marking are available for quotation. Panel ID, left/right orientation, installation sequence and access direction for wrench/bolt removal.

Quote factors and price basis

Price factor Why it changes cost RFQ note
Material grade and hardness Higher hardness plates usually require stricter cutting, drilling and countersinking control. State NM400 / NM450 / NM500 or provide the current liner material certificate.
Plate thickness and yield Thicker plates increase raw material weight, cutting time and machining difficulty. Send CAD/PDF drawings so nesting and waste rate can be estimated.
Hole count and countersink geometry Each hole adds drilling/countersinking time and inspection work. Provide a hole table with coordinates, diameter, countersink angle and depth.
Tolerance and inspection level Tight hole-position tolerance or dimensional reporting requires additional QC time. Specify general tolerance, critical dimensions and whether inspection photos/reports are required.
Quantity and delivery term Small batches carry higher setup cost; repeat batches are easier to quote from approved drawings. Send trial quantity, annual usage and destination port or delivery address.

MOQ, lead time and documents

Item Typical planning reference Notes
MOQ Sample or trial batches can be reviewed by drawing; economic batch quotation is usually better from about 500 kg to 1 metric ton and above. Small urgent replacement sets can still be evaluated if drawings and hole details are complete.
Lead time Typical processed wear plate order: about 15-30 working days after drawing confirmation and deposit; urgent/simple parts can be reviewed separately. Lead time depends on grade availability, thickness, hole count, inspection requirement and packing.
Documents Material certificate, hardness reference, dimension inspection photos/report and packing photos can be supplied according to project requirement. State document requirements before quotation so they are included in the price and schedule.
Packing Export pallet or crate packing with rust protection, part labels and drawing-number marking. Confirm gross weight limit per pallet and whether panels need sequence labels for installation.
