Chute Liner Replacement: Why Timing Matters

Chute liners are designed to protect transfer chutes, hoppers and material flow channels from abrasion, impact and continuous wear. In mining, cement, coal, steel, aggregate and bulk material handling systems, liners are often the first protection layer between abrasive materials and the main equipment structure.

But chute liners are not permanent parts. They are replaceable wear components. If they are replaced too late, the damage may extend beyond the liner itself and reach the chute body, supporting structure, bolts or nearby equipment.
